We are well known for our smile makeovers but we have invested heavily to provide the best technology and the latest advancements in implant dentistry to make it more predictable, more comfortable and less traumatic for the patient.
You may have lost a tooth due to gum disease, or you may have suffered a trauma which has irreparably damaged an otherwise healthy tooth, or you may have a number of teeth that need to be removed and replaced.
Our expert team have the specialist skills and experience to provide full arch implants, or "all on 4/6" implants for patients who have multiple missing teeth, or wear a denture and want to replace it with a fixed solution. Our team is so advanced that we can often help patients who have been told they are not suitable for implants by using zygomatic or pterygoid implants. This level of advanced restorative dentistry is rare in the UK but at Dental Excellence we want to make sure we can offer the very best treatment options dentistry has to offer.
We know that missing teeth can sometimes cause you to be self conscious, but we can change that. Our team can fully restore your teeth, with a first class smile makeover, and give you your confidence back! To find out what your journey back to a great smile will look like please read on for our step by step guide to our implants treatment process.
The first step in repairing your smile and restoring missing or damaged teeth is to come for a full case assessment with us so that we can give you a bespoke treatment plan and cost estimate.
Due to the way our centre is structured, we have a team of Dentists, Specialists, Therapists, and Technicians who all work together to give you the best treatment plan possible. If you have lost a tooth due to gum disease then our Dental Therapists will help you to stabilise your mouth with regular hygiene appointments, your Dentist will work with our in-house dental lab technicians to design your dental implant, and if you have a dental phobia then we can provide IV sedation with our in-house specialist. For multiple implants, or "all on 4" full arch implants our specialist Implantologist will plan and deliver your treatment.
Not only can we replace your missing teeth but you can also have dental implants as part of a full smile makeover if you want to make cosmetic changes to the rest of your teeth. Our set up allows us to deliver multi-disciplinary and highly complex treatment plans as quickly and efficiently as possible without compromising your long term oral health or cosmetic results. You will get a beautiful smile that is healthy, you just need to make sure you keep it that way! To give you the best chance we schedule regular reviews and offer a maintenance plan to support you with your oral hygiene.
We use a digital workflow which is easier for you as the patient, but it also gives us incredibly predictable results. We take photographs, video, a CBCT scan, and even an intra oral scan of your mouth so we have a full picture of your oral health. The most important part of implant dentistry is planning, so we use the latest software and technology to give us the most accurate plan for placing the implant.
If your case is quite simple and you have good bone then we can extract your damaged tooth and replace with the same day implant, for more complex cases then we may need to carry out foundation and stabilisation work to get your mouth in a strong position to place the implant or implants.
We would always provide you with a set of temporary teeth so that you don't have to walk around with a gappy smile for weeks!
Once the dental implant(s) has been fitted it needs time to stabilise within your mouth, so you will have a temporary tooth or teeth for two to three months whilst the implant(s) settles. After this time, we will bring you back in to have your final crown, bridge, or implant supported teeth fitted and it/they will be matched perfectly to your natural teeth so it fits seamlessly into your mouth.
We create such natural-looking dental implants and crowns that it is very difficult to tell which are the artificial teeth!
