What Do We Offer Emergency Appointments For?

Severe Tooth Pain

Toothache can be debilitating. You may not be able to eat, sleep or focus properly, and often over the counter pain killers don’t seem to provide much relief. Our experienced dentists can assess the cause of your tooth pain and provide same day treatment to relieve it, from emergency fillings to tooth extractions.

Infection & Abscesses

If you are suffering from a dental infection, or an abscess has developed on your gum, it’s important to get treatment as quickly as possible to prevent further damage from being caused. We can provide emergency treatment so you get the help you need.

Chipped or Broken Teeth

A chipped or broken tooth can cause significant discomfort due to sharp edges. You may even have exposed nerve endings, resulting in sharp, severe pain. We can provide treatment to help relieve the pain and discomfort caused by chipped and broken teeth.

Knocked-Out or Loose Tooth

If your tooth has been knocked out or has become loose, it's important to seek emergency dental treatment as soon as possible. This can improve the chances of saving your tooth and preventing further damage from occuring. We can provide emergency treatment to assess the injury and plan the best route forward.

Broken Dentures/Appliances

Broken dentures, retainers, braces, or other dental appliances can be uncomfortable and can make day-to-day tasks like eating and speaking difficult. They may also cause irritation or injuries to your gums and lips. We offer emergency appointments to help repair or replace damaged appliances.

Journey

Our Emergency Dental Treatment Process

in London and Liverpool

1

Call Us

If you need dental treatment quickly, it’s best to call us directly. Our online booking system might show that all our appointments are filled up for the day, but we always have some on-hand for emergencies.

When you call us, we will ask you to give us an overview of the issue and your location, so we can book you into the appropriate clinic.

We do also offer some walk-in appointments if you’re close to either our Liverpool or London locations.

2

Consultation & Assessment

You will be seen by a dentist to assess the issue and discuss the best routes forward.

At this appointment, we will talk through treatment options and you will be able to ask any questions before moving onto treatment.

3

Treatment

Our dentists will carry out the required emergency treatment to help provide quick relief for pain, dental injuries and infections.

Treatment will usually be carried out on the same day, and where required further follow up appointments will be scheduled.

Emergency appointment

Patient, professional and informative

Attended today , emergency appointment with Craig . So glad he could see me . As always he was patient professional and informative making me feel like I had his undivided attention none of my questions were a worry to him . He always goes the extra mile where health and wellbeing is concerned and does not isolate the health of my mouth /teeth from my overall health, ensuring I get the best smile in the long term . It’s a journey I am happy to take with him feeling safe and assured . Everything was throughly explained to me and prompt treatment received . His assistant was lovely too .

Emergency appointment

I would highly recommend them

I had a problem which basically had been caused by another dentist. From the first contact on the phone, a woman called Riya, to the dentist- Craig and his nurse- Beth, the service and care have been truly excellent. Riya was so pleasant and helpful and gave me an appointment on the same day. Craig was so helpful, kind and super efficient and Beth was really thoughtful and lovely too. Craig explained every step of the way during the treatment, and appears to have solved the problem. I would highly recommend them.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer out of hours dental appointments?

For both our London and Liverpool locations, we have much longer and more flexible opening hours than traditional dental practices. We have evening/after-work appointments, and we’re open on weekends too. Whether it’s an emergency, or you just need a dental practice that can work around your schedule, we can help.

Can I get a same day emergency dental appointment?

Yes. We offer same day emergency dental appointments at both our Liverpool and London practices. If you need urgent treatment, we recommend calling us directly as we reserve appointment slots specifically for dental emergencies.

Do I need to be a registered patient?

No. You do not need to be an existing patient to book an emergency dental appointment with us. We welcome both new and existing patients who require urgent treatment.

What should I do if my tooth has been knocked out?

If your tooth has been knocked out, try to handle it by the crown (the visible part of the tooth) rather than the root. If possible, gently place it back into the socket or keep it in milk and contact us immediately. The sooner you receive treatment, the greater the chance of saving the tooth.

Can you help if I have a dental abscess?

Yes. Dental abscesses and infections should be treated as quickly as possible to prevent the infection from spreading. Our dentists can assess the problem and provide the most appropriate treatment to relieve pain and address the underlying cause.

Will I receive treatment on the same day?

In most cases, yes. Following your consultation and assessment, treatment is usually carried out during the same appointment. If additional treatment is required, we will arrange any necessary follow-up appointments.

What if I have a broken tooth but I'm not in pain?

Even if a broken or chipped tooth is not currently causing pain, it is still advisable to have it assessed. Damage to the tooth can worsen over time and may increase the risk of infection or further breakage.

Do you offer emergency tooth extractions?

Yes. If a tooth cannot be saved and extraction is the most appropriate treatment option, our experienced dentists can perform emergency tooth extractions to relieve pain and prevent further complications.
